MiniCYC Info:
Exclusive technology
Coemar’s patented Twin Lamp Technology (TLT) is a unique system which uses a twin lamp and
optical system to dramatically increase luminous output whilst minimizing power consumption.

Formidable output
The luminous output developed far exceeds that of mono-lamp technology: the TLT system
does not sum the intensity of its lamps, but multiplies it.
One or two lamps – choose between power and energy savings
It is possible to control one lamp or the other independently although most users will opt for the full
power of twin lamps. The color and spread are the same using one lamp or two so the option is yours.

Maximum efficiency or maximum lamp life?
TLT allows the use of both MSR (maximum output) and MSD (long life) lamps at will, further
the flexibility and superiority of the system.
Framing output at will
The TLT optical system utilizes additional glass filters allowing maximum and precise control of
the beam providing the designer with the ability to accurately frame their subject.

Haunted Charleston Premiere

Posted in Audio/Visual, Events, Uncategorized, Video on March 22nd, 2010 by admin

The documentary Haunted Charleston, directed by Kevin Harrison and produced by Jeff Nickles, is slated to premiere at the upcoming Charleston International Film Festival. The American Theater (446 King Street) will host all screenings as Opening Night kicks off the four day event on Thursday, April 8 at 7:00 PM.

Watch the trailer

‘Haunted Charleston’ 60 second trailer from PDA Video on Vimeo.

About the documentary:

By rambling through the often forgotten enclaves of the Holy City, author Ed Macy brings the viewer face to face with a group of orphans who haunt a College of Charleston dorm, a shoe salesman who haunts the 10th floor of the Francis Marion Hotel and many other stories.

Macy leaves embellishment by the wayside to let these stories — in ghastly and dreadful detail — tell themselves. Based on historical events and specific details that are often lost in our general notion of ghosts, each haunting encounter will send chills through the viewer.

About the Festival:

The 3rd Annual Charleston International Film Festival (CIFF), South Carolina’s premiere event for independent filmmakers and film enthusiasts, will play host to over 50 films, from 6 different countries, with most from the U.S., and 14 from filmmakers in the southeast region and the Lowcountry, ranging in categories from features, shorts, documentaries and animation.  The official selection will represent the pinnacle of independent filmmaking talent from around the world.   The full schedule with film details, pictures and trailers, as well as screenplay finalists are all online at www.CharlestonIFF.com.

It’s Electric

Posted in Audio/Visual, Events, Fashion, News, Uncategorized, Video on March 17th, 2010 by admin

At the onset of Charleston Fashion Week I am always taken by the event team’s ability to deliver fresh looks year after year. I have to say that this year is my favorite yet. Clean lines, great visuals, unique video elements – all focused on the art and artists. You will even see music video style designer profiles edited with custom DJ tracks. They have really put the rock in fashion this year.

Last night’s kickoff was highly entertaining and the standing room only crowd was electrified. With the Style Lounge and bar services in a separate tent this year, all of the main tent’s energy is directed at what is happening on the stage. And there is a lot to see. Each night this week has a great draw, so you will not be disappointed if you plan to go every night. Tonight’s featured designer is Project Runway’s Mychael Night. Check the CFW schedule for more lowdown.

PDA is proud to provide Charleston Fashion Week with technical event production and video production services.

New Charleston Elementary School Inspired by Art and the Future

Posted in Uncategorized on March 1st, 2010 by admin

This morning’s Dedication of Sanders-Clyde Elementary Middle School was the perfect way to begin a Monday morning. In a beautifully designed, art-inspired building, the school played host to Mayor Riley, Dr. Nancy McGinley, Rep. Wendell Gilliard and many other community leaders who came together for the rebirth of one of Charleston’s schools that is most in need. Speeches were full of hope and gratitude and visions of success for all of the children who attend and will someday attend school at Sanders-Clyde.

PDA is honored to have been a part of the rebirth, and we were able to see the Strand Selecon lighting system in action this morning for performances by both the Sanders-Clyde Fifth Grade Strings Students and the Sanders-Clyde Dance Team. The culmination of the event was the unveiling of nationally renowned artist Jonathan Green’s mural that stands in as a warm invitation for all who enter and as a banner of inspiration for the entire neighborhood.

A Night of Improv

Posted in Events, News, Uncategorized on January 27th, 2010 by admin

Thankfully the Charleston Symphony Orchestra hosted two nights of Quentin Baxter and Friends for the McCrady’s Restaurant Charleston Pops series at Memminger Auditorium. I, along with an assorted, sold out crowd caught  the second night. The auditorium became an intimate setting of warm lighting and a modern, accessible stage set with the music as the focal point. And it was fantastic. A range from classical to Coltrane-like improvisation without seeming like a stretch. Compliments to the Charleston Symphony for an inventive ensemble.

Live from Outdoor Retailer

Posted in Audio/Visual, Events, Travel, Uncategorized, Video on January 21st, 2010 by admin
The PDA Video team arrived in Salt Lake City for the Outdoor Retailer Show and began our production schedule.

Our first shoot was at Snowbasin Resort in Odgen  where we covered the Outdoor Retailer on Mountain Demo.  This event allows retailers and buyers to test the latest products in  actual mountain conditions.

It was a great day on the hill.  Inbetween shoots our team managed to pile into the gondola and leave our tracks on the hill.

From here we take the crew inside the Salt Palace Convention Center and begin shooting Live from OR; in-booth interviews with gear manufacturers.

Some of the brands on our production calendar include Wolverine, Teva, Gore-Tex, Woolrich, Wenger, Carhart and Columbia. More to come!
