We have compiled some amazing footage from some of the area’s most talented DSLR shooters and we are now in post production mode. Big thanks to King Street Studios, Lee Morris, Patrick Hall, Keith Bradshaw and of course Zsolt Harasti.

At the onset of Charleston Fashion Week I am always taken by the event team’s ability to deliver fresh looks year after year. I have to say that this year is my favorite yet. Clean lines, great visuals, unique video elements – all focused on the art and artists. You will even see music video style designer profiles edited with custom DJ tracks. They have really put the rock in fashion this year.

Last night’s kickoff was highly entertaining and the standing room only crowd was electrified. With the Style Lounge and bar services in a separate tent this year, all of the main tent’s energy is directed at what is happening on the stage. And there is a lot to see. Each night this week has a great draw, so you will not be disappointed if you plan to go every night. Tonight’s featured designer is Project Runway’s Mychael Night. The designer profile created by PDA Video for Carol Hannah Whitfield (Charleston Fashion Week ‘08 Designer) and Charleston Fashion Week made it to Project Runway.  Carol Hannah is officially in the season 6 filming now. Project Runway premieres on Lifetime Thursday, August 20 at 10:00pm.

Here is the second video we have produced post Charleston Fashion Week. PDA’s video team (made up of Kevin Harrison, Victoria Mele, Tim McManus, Zsolt Haraszti and Steven Traver) covered some serious ground that week and came away with amazing footage including backstage, runway and celebrity sightings. Tonight is the final night of Fashion Week with the three Emerging Design Finalists duking it out for the grand prize.  Following the final shows, Charleston’s fashion forward will close the event at the CFW gala.

Its been a hectic week for the PDA Video team but we have captured some great images for our documentary project.

Its been an intense production to be a part of and its impressive to see the success of this event in only its third year.

One more night more night of runway, pink lights, djs, Red Bull cocktails, hairspray, after parties, interviews, models, designers, headsets, folding chairs and flash bulbs.

After another great night on the runway, we got up Thursday morning to head over to the MUSC Children’s Hospital. We are working with Mary Norton and Saks Fifth Avenue to document the Catwalk for Kids charity event.  (www.catwalkforkids.com)
