PDA Stage

Tonight is the final night of Fashion Week with the three Emerging Design Finalists duking it out for the grand prize.  Following the final shows, Charleston’s fashion forward will close the event at the CFW gala.

Its been a hectic week for the PDA Video team but we have captured some great images for our documentary project.

Its been an intense production to be a part of and its impressive to see the success of this event in only its third year.

One more night more night of runway, pink lights, djs, Red Bull cocktails, hairspray, after parties, interviews, models, designers, headsets, folding chairs and flash bulbs.

After another great night on the runway, we got up Thursday morning to head over to the MUSC Children’s Hospital. We are working with Mary Norton and Saks Fifth Avenue to document the Catwalk for Kids charity event.  (www.catwalkforkids.com)

It’s hard to imagine that there is anything going on in the PDA world right now besides Charleston Fashion Week. However I just received an update from our crew in Miami Beach. They are in the throws of setup for Rock Fashion Week, and here are a few photos of the progress. I love seeing how things progress…stay tuned for more photos.

Oh, and I just read that Fergie will be celebrating her 34^th birthday there tonight at the Fontainbleau. Have fun party people…

Charleston Fashion Week has kicked off and the PDA video team is up to our eyeballs in runway shoots, after parties, interviews, models, designers and Red Bull. According to one of last night’s designers we are “bringing it fierce” which is a welcomed compliment.

Here is a video we put together for the Charleston Fashion Week Kickoff Party held at Shine in Downtown Charleston.

We are shooting all week leading up to the Gala on Saturday night. We are capturing some great footage and I am excited to see what we can do with the documentary. Here are some photos from the first night under the tent.

PDA Video is excited to have partnered with the MUSC Hollings Cancer Center to produce a short fundraising film titled “I’m Living Proof.” Featuring cancer survivors and their medical teams, the film premiered at the Gourmet and Grapes Fundraiser on Kiawah Island and was designed to highlight the important role donations play in the treatment of patients at the Hollings Cancer Center.

Beyond the Gourmet and Grapes event this film will be published on the internet, taking advantage of Web 2.0 technology to raise awareness of the work done by the great medical team at the center.

“It is always rewarding when we are able to produce a piece of media that is directly related to worthwhile cause. Our creative team is energized by these opportunities and thankful for the chance to produce them,” said Tim McManus, Director of Business Development, PDA Video.
